Agartala, July 22: Two insurgents, including a self styled 'Corporal' of the banned All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF) were apprehended and two others of National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) surrendered in separate incidents in the state, police said today.
A patrolling team of the BSF apprehended ATTF insurgent Sujit Debbarma when he attempted to enter Indian territory from Bangladesh through Sidhai border area of West Tripura district yesterday.
Debbarma, a self styled 'Corporal' of the outfit, is in-charge of the ATTF base camp at Satcherri in Bangladesh, the police said.
In a separate incident, police caught another ATTF ultra from Subalsingh village of the same district.
Two insurgents of the banned NLFT surrendered to Assam Rifles at Ampi in South Tripura district.



The insurgents gave up a Chinese grenade and many documents during their surrender, the police said.
