Dehradun, June 22: With the opposition threatening to disrupt proceedings of Uttaranchal Assembly in the 'unwed mother episode', speaker Yashpal Arya has convened an all party meeting tomorrow to resolve the impasse. "We have convened an all party meeting tomorrow morning so that the budget for the year 2003-4 can be passed smoothly," Arya said today.

Arya's comments came after leader of opposition Bhagat Singh Koshiyari threatened to disrupt proceedings of the assembly unless their demands are met.

"We want that the report of the house committee on the scandal to be tabled in the house," Koshiyari said.

Slamming Tiwari for giving a clean chit to bureaucrats whose names figured in the scandal he said, "How come the Chief Minister gave a clean chit to bureaucrats without holding any inquiry."

Opposition members, comprising MLAs belonging to BJP, BSP, NCP and Uttarakhand Kranti Dal (UKD) also submitted a memorandum to governor Sudershan Agarwal demanding the dismissal of the N D Tiwari government over the scandal.

On Friday, opposition members repeatedly disrupted the proceeding demanding resignation of chief minister N D Tiwari over the scandal in which an unwed mother delivered a child allegedly fathered by former revenue minister Harak Singh Rawat.

Stating that the passing of the budget was a constitutional necessity before June 30, Arya said he would try to convince the opposition members in this regard.
