Sreedharan Pillai elected Kerala BJP president
Kochi, Aug 02: P S Sreedharan Pillai was today elected as president of the Kerala state unit of the BJP.

The announcement was made by party’s Central observer V P Goyal at the party's state council meeting here.
No other nomination had been received for the post, he said.
Forty-eight year old Pillai, a member of the BJP's national executive committee and former state vice-president, will take charge tomorrow. He is also the senior central government standing counsel in the Kerala High Court.
In the last state council meeting held in May, Pillai had emerged as the consensus candidate for the post.
Meanwhile, party sources said that 23 nominations had been received for the 20 member national council. Three were likely to withdraw their nominations tomorrow, they said.
