Jammu, May 31: The sleuths of Jammu and Kashmir Vigilance Organisation (SVO) has conducted multiple raids on depots of food and supplies departments and seized records in Anantnag district in south Kashmir, police said today. On a tip-off, the sleuths raided four major depots of the department at Nai Basti, Mohdshahsaz, Pushpora and Janglet Mandi areas yesterday, senior superintendent of police, vigilance headquarters, Alok Puri said.


During raids, vigilance found huge shortage of food grains worth lakhs of rupees, he said and added that entire records were seized.

The records of the department depots were not properly maintained, he said and added more raids would be conducted.
