New Delhi, July 23: There were 1550 terrorist-related incidents till June this year as against 4038 such cases during the whole of 2002, Rajya Sabha was informed today. There were 4522 terror-related incidents in 2001, Minister of State for Home Harin Pathak said in a written reply.

He said 667 terrorists were killed till the first half of 2003 as against 1707 during the whole of 2002 and 2020 in 2001. As many as 137 security were killed till June 2003 as against 435 in 2002 and 536 in 2001, he said.

Silk: India's silk exports are estimated at 447 million dollars during 2002-03 as against 495.29 million in 2001-02 and 530.21 million in 2000-01, Textiles Minister Shahnawaz Hussain said.

In reply to a query, he said government has decided not to appeal against a ruling by the dispute settlement body of WTO against India in the case related to US rules of origin for textiles products. Bureau Report
