Mumbai: Internationally acclaimed sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has backed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s demonitisation campaign to fight corruption and uproot black money.
The artist, who hails from the eastern coastal state of Odisha, expressed his take on the demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes at the famous Puri beach.
Titled “Beginning of a Clean India: RIP Black Money" Pattnaik’s sand art depicted a dead face representing black money with the demonetised currencies and a smiling face proudly flaunting the pink Rs 2000 currency.
