New Delhi, Nov 25: In the wake of the fake stamp paper scam that has sent shock waves through out the country, the CBI in association with the RBI is organising a day-long conference on fake currency notes and fake government stamps in the capital today.
The conference, the first of its kind in the country, will be inaugurated by CBI director P C Sharma and was aimed at increasing co-ordination within law enforcement agencies for evolving coordinated steps to deal with problem of counterfieiting, a CBI spokesman said here yesterday.
The conference would be attended by nodal officers from state and Central Police organisations, officers from the RBI and Ministries of Home Affairs and Finance.
Different aspects of counterfeiting would be discussed in the conference with an aim to evolving operational strategies to tackle such crimes, he added.
