Srinagar, Nov 10: The security forces gunned down three let militants, including a top `commander` of the Pakistan-based outfit, in two encounters in frontier district of Kupwara in Jammu and Kashmir.

Pakistan-based outfit, in two encounters in frontier district
of Kupwara in Jammu and Kashmir.
Lashkar-e-Tayeba "commander" Abu Zubair was killed along
with another militant after an exchange of fire with the army
jawans at Bar Behak early this morning, official sources said.
The sources said the encounter broke out after the jawans
had launched a search operation in the area while acting on
specific information.
Two AK assault rifles, six magazines, 65 rounds, four
hand grenades and one kg of explosive material were also
recovered from the militants, they said.
In another encounter, Rashtriya Rifles troops killed a militant during a combing operation at Kandi area in Kupwara late last night, they added.
