Chennai, Aug 26: Maintaining its impressive performance, India advanced to the quarterfinals of the team event at the world junior squash championship at Cairo beating Canada 2-1 in their third and last round robin league match in pool `C`.

India topped their group and will play the US in the
round of eight.
On Sunday, India had defeated Wales (3-0) and Germany (3-0).
Vaidehi Reddy, who has been performing consistently through out the tournament, came up with yet another superb display against Canada's top seeded player Miranda Raineri. Reddy won the tie 9-5 9-3 9-4, a press release from the Squash Rackets Federation of India said here today.
British Open champion Joshna Chinappa beat Jennifer Blumberg 9-2 9-2 9-6, while Supriya Baleskar went down fighting to Lauren Poolanich 9-7 5-9 4-9 10-8 8-10. Bureau Report
