Kisanganj (Bihar), Aug 27: Union minister and BJP leader Syed Shahnawaz Hussain today blamed Maharashtra government for the twin bomb blasts in Mumbai on Monday in which 52 people were killed and several others injured. "I hold the Maharashtra government responsible for the bomb blasts. It is strange how its intelligence agencies failed to alert the government about such a big conspiracy by anti-nationals,” Hussain told reporters.

Asserting that extremists would not be allowed to damage the secular fabric of the country, Hussain, who is Union Minister for Textile, said that Vajpayee government was committed to root out terrorism and maintain communal harmony.
The BJP leader offered no comments on breaking of ties between the BJP and BSP in Uttar Pradesh and the findings of Archeological Survey of India (ASI) at Ayodhya.

The Union Minister would lay the foundation of a jute mill in Simlibari village of the district tomorrow in the presence of Union Small Scale Industries Minister C P Thakur.
