Itanagar, June 05: The Centre would assist Arunachal Pradesh to achieve all round development because of its strategic importance and its immense natural potential, Union Minister of State for Human Resource Development Sanjay Paswan said today. Strategically, Arunachal shares International Border with China, Myanmar and Bhutan and should be given due importance by any political party or the government at the Centre, Paswan, who arrived here on Tuesday last on a three-day visit, told reporters before he left for Guwahati this morning.
Paswan said that the BJP had entrusted him as in charge of Arunachal, to look after various aspects of development of the state.
With huge hydel power potential, unique bio-diversity and large land mass, Arunachal Pradesh had the distinction to become one of the frontline states in the country, he said.

Regarding criticism on implementation of the Centre-sponsored schemes and difficulties in distributing PDS items due to geographical bottlenecks, paswan maintained that he would see that the benefits of these schemes reach the targetted groups.

He would particularly look after the development of human resource and ensure that the educational standard in the state improved. He also assured the NGOs who were involved in qualitative education that they would be encouraged besides, the government initiative.

Paswan, on his maiden visit, had a series of meetings with representatives of NGOs, government officials and BJP workers.
