Q1 GDP grows 5.7% by constant prices, 10.5% at current prices
New Delhi, Sept 30: Propelled by robust growth in trade and telecommunication, finance and manufacturing, GDP grew by 5.7 per cent to Rs 3,28,837 crore during the first three months of the year 2003-04, even as there was slowdown in agriculture and mining and quarrying.

Growth in GDP at factor cost at constant prices (1993-94 prices) was Rs 3,10,966 crore during April-June of previous year (i.e. 2002-03), the quarterly estimates brought out by
the government said today.
At current prices, GDP growth at factor cost was 10.5 per cent at Rs 5,75,220 crore in the first quarter of 2003-04 as compared to Rs 5,20,394 crore in the same period of previous
fiscal.
