Milan, June 26: Soccer idol David Beckham has certainly bent it this time - not on the pitch but with wife Victoria in a collection of raunchy photos promoting Dolce and Gabbana fashion for the Italian edition of Vogue.
The collection of photos entitled The Beckhams appeared in LUomo Vogue (mens vogue) and Sport Italia Vogue July/August edition this week in Italy.

In the financial capital of Milan, which is currently hosting the mens spring/summer 2004 fashion shows, there has already been a bit of a Beckham love fest with Italian designers Dolce and Gabbana, one of the Beckhams` favourite labels, already dedicating their show to the England captain. A huge picture from the Italian Vogue magazine has also been hoisted up into the shop`s front window.

The pictures will certainly cause a stir. One of the photos showing Victoria Beckham straddled over her husband is run on the front cover of Sport Italia Vogue with the headline Private Beckhams.
Photographer Steven Klein, who took the picture essay, has Victoria back down on a table with husband, David, head down over her stomach sporting a sample of the new collection from Dolce and Gabbana. In another picture Victoria is face down on the table with David`s hand on the back of her neck as he stands behind her. All good raunchy stuff that will certainly not go unnoticed!

"The Beckhams represent the icons of 2003 at this moment" said Director of Sport Italia Vogue, Anna Delorusso, adding that the Beckhams had poised for the pictures commissioned by Vogue, free of charge. "They are a couple who have come from nothing, they have become rich and have a jet set lifestyle but they are also normal. They have two children, a normal couple but with the possibility of enjoying life to its fullest" Delorusso said.

And as far as Delorusso is concerned the Beckham trend is set to last at least until the end of this year. "He (David Beckham) has his own style that is very particular. It`s because of this that he is copied by people, his hair, nail varnish on his hands. Everyone likes him, men, women, gays - everybody" she said. Even soccer crazy Italians seem to have been a bit caught on the hop by this latest soccer idol. He`s certainly a very fashionable football player at the moment and now even a sex symbol said Carlo as he walkedpast the Dolce and Gabbana shop.

But some Italian women are still hard to please. A sex symbol? "No he`s not my idea of a sex symbol" said Marina.
