July 20: Defending champions Belgium go into their Fed Cup quarter-final match with Italy without Kim Clijsters and Justine Henin.
Clijsters, who is ranked fifth in the world, confirmed in June that she would miss the tie in order to defend her WTA tour title in Stanford.
World number seven Henin also plans on playing in the Californian event.
"It's not a question that she doesn't want to play the Fed Cup," Henin's manager Vincent Stavaux said. "It's impossible for her to play because of her programme."
Italy are naturally confident of recording a victory over their under-strength opponents.
"On paper I think we are the favourites but that doesn't mean it is going to be easy," said Silvia Farina Elia.
"We can't take anything for granted against Belgium, otherwise we will make things difficult for ourselves."
The Belgium line-up will be Els Callens, Laurence Courtois, Caroline Maes and Clijsters' sister Elke.
Austria, who dumped the US out in the first round in April, will face Croatia at home in Portschach.
