Washington, Sept 10: The average one-way commute in the United States is just over 26 minutes, but the longest commute takes three hours, the government said on Monday.
The Transportation Department surveyed more than 1,000 people in August about their commuting times. The survey found that 94 percent spent an hour or less going to work.
The shortest commute was one minute, while the longest was three hours. Bureau Report
