New Delhi, Aug 28: Introducing two entry-level mobile phones Nokia 1100 and Nokia 2300, global communications major Notoday said India is one of the fastest growing markets country in the mobile communications. "The fastest growing markets in mobile communication include markets like India, China, Russia, Tahiland, Brazil, Indonesia and Phillipines. Such large markets present exciting opportunities and challenges for operators and vendors alike," sari Baldauf, president Nokia network, told reporters here.
India is a prime example of growth potential with mobile phone penetration rate being less than two per cent of over one billion population, she said.
"We expect 100 million people will be using mobile phones in the next 3-4 years," she said.
The two new models Nokia 1100 and Nokia 2300, which made their debut in the Indian shores, are designed for new users in the growing markets. Bureau Report
