New Delhi, Dec 04: BJP's chief ministerial candidate for Delhi Madan Lal Khurana today ruled out quitting politics in case his party is defeated in Delhi Assembly polls. He blamed the media for projecting a gloomy picture of his party at the hustings right from the beginning.

"Where does the question of my political future come into the picture here. I have been in Delhi for the last so many years and I have won and lost elections," Khurana said.

Speaking when early indications during counting of ballot papers showed that his party was trailing in around 30 of 70 seats in the state, he maintained that the contest with Congress would be "neck-to-neck".

Khurana said that he had to fight the electoral battle on two fronts, "one with Congress and the other with the media which forecast only 10 seats for BJP".

Putting a brave front, he said in 1984 Lok Sabha elections, his party won only two seats but recovered later. He said even in 1998 assembly elections, BJP won only 14 seats but later during Lok Sabha polls it garnered all seven seats.
