New Delhi, Oct 08: The charges against former Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal in the corruption cases against him were likely to be framed in the last week of October, Punjab Chief Minister Amrinder Singh said here today. "Vigilance bureau officials are already questioning the former Punjab Chief Minister. His wife would be questioned at her residence while Badal junior (Sukhbir Singh) will be questioned at the bureau office", the chief minister told a press conference here. Replying to questions, Amrinder further said a "certain procedure has to be adopted including an evaluation of properties owned by the family." "Once this evaluation is complete then a chargesheet would be filed against Badal likely at end of this month (October)", the Chief Minister said dismissing suggestions that it was being done keeping an eye on the assembly polls.

He also dismissed as "rubbish" the charges by relatives of singer Daler Mehendi that police officials were demanding Rs 1.5 crore for settling the case against them. Bureau Report
