SHIRKERS AMONG cricketers are in for a tough time. Team physio Andrew Leipus has recommended that all team members buy a Polar watch, manufactured only in South Africa, which can monitor and record all their exertions. The new contraption, which costs 2,000 rand (about Rs 15,000) looks like a normal watch and comes with a standard transmitter elastic strap and infrared interface. To check how much and which exercises a particular player has actually done, one can download the record kept by the device onto a laptop.
