Kolkata, July 05: Security has been tightened on the eve of the visit of Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani to the metropolis and the neighbouring Howrah district tomorrow. Advani is visiting West Bengal for the first time since his elevation as the Deputy Prime Minister.

At Belur Math he will meet president of the Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Swami Ranganathananda and senior monks, official sources said today.

He will also visit the ancestral house of Swami Vivekananda in north Kolkata. Advani, after arriving by launch at the man o' war jetty on Hooghly, will drive to the Netaji Indoor Stadium where the main function, the birth centenary celebration of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, organised by the Shyama Prasad Smarak Samity, will be held.

After meeting office-bearers of the state BJP as well members of the different chambers of commerce, the deputy prime minister has reserved time for a visit to the new office of the Trinamool Congress, an ally of the BJP in national as well as state politics.
