Mumbai, Nov 01: Proctor & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care Ltd has posted a 13 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs 22.06 crore for the first quarter ended September as against Rs 19.53 crore in the same period last year. The fast moving consumer goods major recorded a 21 per cent growth in its first quarter net sales at Rs 128.45 crore as against Rs 106.48 crore in July-September 2002, the company said in a release on Friday.

Health and Hygiene product segment contributed revenues of Rs 92.83 crore (Rs 76.53 crore in Q1 of 2002-03) while those from contract manufacturing stood at Rs 35.62 crore (Rs 29.95 crore), the release said. Bureau Report
