Shukla`s allegations totally fabricated: Congress ministers
Raipur, Jun 07: Lashing out at NCP for alleging the involvement of Chhattisgarh chief minister Ajit Jogi in the murder of its state unit party treasurer ram Avtar Jaggi, several congress ministers today retaliated by putting the blame on NCP state chief V C Shukla, saying political pressure should not be put on police.
Raipur, Jun 07: Lashing out at NCP for alleging the involvement of Chhattisgarh chief minister Ajit Jogi in the murder of its state unit party treasurer ram Avtar Jaggi, several congress ministers today retaliated by putting the blame on NCP state chief V C Shukla, saying political pressure should not be put on police.
Shukla's charges against Jogi are totally fabricated, and false and it is also not appropriate for a senior person like him to make such cheap allegations, Chhattisgarh revenue minister Bhupesh Baghel said in a statement here.
Again it is not good to put political pressure on police instead of allowing it to work on the case, he said, adding that if Jaggi's killing was a political murder then the people, who are trying to take political mileage out of the incident, were responsible for the killing.
State minister for home Manoj Mandavi said that the investigations in the killing would be impartial and the accused involved in the killing would be apprehended.
But Shukla has levelled the allegation to save his political boat from sinking, he said.
Defending Jogi and his family members on NCP allegation, in a joint statement ministers for urban development Rabin Choubey, power Dhanesh Patila, education Satya Narayan Sharma, his state minister Tamradhwaj Sahu and state minister for industries Vidhan Mishra said Jaggi's killing was against the social cohesiveness of the state.
Criminals want to create an atmosphere of terror and fear through this killing which will never be allowed to be succeed, they said.
