Dushanbe, Nov 14: Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee today opened a 'Made in India' exhibition in the Tajikistan capital with a view to boost trade with the Central Asian Republic. India, which exported 53 million dollar worth of goods and services to Tajikistan in 2002-03, has identified energy (hydropower), infrastructure, textiles, telecom, information technology, healthcare, agriculture, small scale industries, food processing and consumer goods, entertainment and education as key sectors for cooperation with Dushanbe. Vajpayee spent 40 minutes at the exhibition organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) with product exhibits from a host of industries ranging from consumer goods firm BPL to automobile manufacturer Bajaj Auto, to construction giant Larsen & Toubro and IT major Wipro.

Other companies participating in the exhibition included Hero Cycles, Majestic Auto, Tata Motors, Tafe India, TI Cycles, Eid Parryware, Videocon, HMT and omen drugs. Vajpayee, who was accompanied by the Tajikistan president Emomali Rahmonov at the exhibition, expressed hope that CII would put up a larger show next year.
