Mumbai: Playback singer Abhijeet has slammed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap for questioning Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s trip to Pakistan last year.
Kashyap, took to Twitter on Sunday to express his anger on the hullaballoo over the inclusion of Pakistani artists in Indian films and the demand for a ban on movies with actors/technicians from the other side of the border.
Abhijeet criticised Anurag for seeking an answer from the Prime Minister, who had visited Pakistan as a gesture to strengthen diplomatic ties.

Anurag, who has had a string of duds at the Box Office in the recent past, slammed the government by dragging the PM who had absolutely no role to play in imposing a ban on Pakistani artists.
Following the Uri terror attack that killed 19 Indian soldiers, the Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association (IMPPA) urged all its members to refrain from hiring Pakistan artists and technicians until tensions between India and Pakistan die down. Moreover, a few days back, the Cinema Owners Exhibitors Association of India had decided to boycott films with Pakistani artists. In this case too, the government had no role to play.
