Pak troops shell Noushera area, Army jawan killed
Jammu, June 27: Pakistani forces today heavily shelled defence and civilian areas along the Line of Control in Noushera area of Jammu and Kashmir killing an Army jawan, even as BSF arrested 49 Myanmar nationals while they were trying to cross the border, according to official sources.

The indiscriminate shelling which began at 9 am hit civilian areas in Makri, Kalsian, Jhangard, Laam, Bhawani and Sher areas of Noushera sub-sector along the LoC triggering panic among the people who took shelter in bunkers.
A shell landed at a forward post in the area killing an Army subedar, the sources said.
Indian troops retaliated and heavy exchange of shelling and firing took place in the area.
Meanwhile, BSF personnel arrested 49 Myanmar nationals near a border outpost of Akhnoor sub-sector of Jammu district along the international border while they were attempting to cross over to Pakistan, official sources said.
The Myanmar nationals - 22 men, 18 women and nine children - had spent three days at the Jammu railway station after their arrival from Delhi where they stayed for three months after infiltrating from Bangladesh.
