Amitabh Bachchan refuses questions on Pakistan artistes, says time to show solidarity towards jawans
Amitabh Bachchan thanked his fans, friends and well-wishers during a press conference for showering him with unconditional love and admiration.
Mumbai: The megastar of Bollywood – Amitabh Bachchan – has turned 74 today. The legendary actor, who has been an inspiration to a number of aspiring artists, addressed the media on the occasion of his birthday.

While addressing the media, he said that he wishes to continue working and take up challenging roles in future as well.
The veteran is omnipresent. He is seen in TV commercials, films, government ads and almost everywhere - such is his passion towards his work even at this age.
On being asked about his dear friend Shatrughan Sinha’s views on pitching his name for the President’s office, Bachchan said, “Shatrughan Babu keeps joking. This will not happen.”
He also evaded the question on the controversy over the presence of Pakistani artists in Bollywood. He said, “This is not the time, and I don't think its right to put forward such questions.”
However, he said, “People of this country are very angry by the incidents that have been happening at our borders, its time to show solidarity,” and added, “It’s time to show solidarity towards our jawans & armed forces who are sacrificing their lives so that you & me can be safe.”
