Chennai, Nov 09: The Hindu will send a detailed report to the union Home Ministry on the police entry into its office here as well as interception of their car in Bangalore last night, the Editor-In-Chief of the paper, N Ram, said here today.

Ram told reporters on the sidelines of the fast undertaken by journalists here to condemn the state assembly's decision ordering the arrest of six journalists, including the editors of 'The Hindu' and 'Murasoli' for "breach of privilege", that the union Minister of State for Home I D Swamy wanted a report on the incidents.
"We are sending a detailed report,” he said.
Ram said he was not demanding invocation of Article 356 in the state as it is was not their "business".
He said he and his brother N Murali, the Joint Managing Director of The Hindu, were intercepted allegedly by Tamil Nadu Police in Bangalore last night. He had already narrated the incident to the media in Bangalore, he said, adding that the persons who intercepted their car mistook Murali for N Ravi, the Editor of The Hindu.
Bureau Report Ram said, in all, five persons intercepted his car and a complaint had been lodged with the Bangalore Police. Police have picked up five persons but he was not sure that they were the persons who intercepted the car, he said.
He thanked the Karnataka government for taking immediate action on the complaint.
Various leaders, including Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh, Lok Jan Sakthi leader Ram Vilas Paswan, union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Ravi Shankar Prasad have contacted him and expressed solidarity, Ram said.
He quoted union Information and Broadcasting Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad as saying The Hindu was being subjected to improper things and that it will win ultimately.
