The talented C Swuro gave ample display of her class as the newly-formed Jharkhand state bagged three of the four gold medals on offer on the las day of the archery event in the 31st National Games in Ludhiana on Friday.
Displaying very good skill and concentration, Swuro collected 99 points to claim the honour in the individual section while Punjab's Vishal Kumar took home the gold in the men's individual event with an effort of 102 points. Harish Kerai, who managed 99 points, had to be content with the silver medal in the men's individual event while the bronze was taken by L Besra of Jharkhand. In the men's team championship, the jharkhand team comprising of Harish Kerai, G Besra, Gautam Singh and Somai Murmu won the title with an effort of 210 while Delhi and services took the silver and bronze medals respectively. Manipur collected 192 points to secure the silver medal while West Bengal finished one point behind them to take the bronze medal. Bureau Report
