Jalandhar, July 13: SAD general secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Sukhbir Badal today dismissed as "utterly false and misleading" the Vigilance Bureau's claim that its officials were prevented from searching his orbit resort in Gurgaon by party workers. "The fact is that Vigilance Bureau sleuths accompanied by engineers of Public Works Department (building and roads) did carry out the search but the management of orbit resort and Shiromani Akali Dal workers, who had gathered at the site, wanted the Vigilance Bureau (VB) to produce court's permission to videograph the search," Badal told.
"The VB officials were not carrying any search order from the court nor willing to show any such document, but when guards at the resort checked the identity cards of the officials, they were allowed to conduct the raid," he added.
