Jaipur, Oct 16: Close on the heels of Prime Minister
Atal Bihari Vajpayee's remark that VHP should be trusted in
its promise to peacefully hold its rally in Ayodhya tomorrow,
Congress President Sonia Gandhi today asked the people not to
believe the saffron outfit.
"Vayadon par yakeen karne ki galati dubara nahin honi
chahiye (mistake of believing in promises should not be
committed again)," Gandhi said while addressing a huge
election rally here.
Asking the Centre and Uttar Pradesh government to see
that communal forces did not succeed in their designs, she
attacked the Sangh Parivar for raking up the temple issue
saying they remember the god only at the time of elections.
Alleging that the central government was surviving only
by the grace of god (Bhagwan Bharose), Gandhi said, "Those
enjoying power are ready to deceit the god too."
She said there had been no coherence in what NDA and BJP leaders had been speaking about various issues. "Every leader of NDA has his own view," she added. Bureau Report
