Kuala Lumpur, Sept 23: Indian Oil Corp. is in talks to import Iranian Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) as early as 2006, its chairman M S Ramachandran said. "We have already had two rounds of comprehensive discussions with' national Iranian oil co.," Ramachandran told reporters at the Asia-Pacific Petroleum Conference in Singapore.

"There is growing demand for gas in India and many power plants can be supplied with Iranian LNG."
