Tirupati, May 29: The three-day 'Mahanadu', Telugu Desam Party's annual convention ended here today with a political resolution giving strong signals that TDP would continue to give outside support to the NDA government at the Centre as long as it stuck to the common agenda. It also launched a scathing attack on Congress for its "double standards" and Left parties for pursuing "old fashioned and outdated ideologies", TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu said.

He said TDP was a forward-looking party with transparency and accountability as the lifeline.

Slightly deviating from its original stand of striking a balance between development and welfare, Naidu tilted towards welfare by announcing a series of sops to farmers, women, children and weaker sections and other categories.

Congress leader Y S Rajsehar Reddy's padyatra prominently figured in the three day meet and Naidu set the tone by launching a diatribe accusing the former for trying to instigate farmers and exploit the deplorable drought conditions and the cadres followed him during their course of speeches.

Congress' demand for free power to farmers came under heavy criticism as Naidu challenged the Congress high command for an open debate on the issue.
