Indian doctors leave after Sri Lanka flood relief
Colombo, June 05: Sri Lankan Army chief, Lionel Balagalle today hosted a farewell reception for some 200 Indian Army doctors and members of a medical team which came to help flood victims.
Colombo, June 05: Sri Lankan Army chief, Lionel Balagalle today hosted a farewell reception for some 200 Indian Army doctors and members of a medical team which came to help flood victims.
The army chief was hosting the reception at the military headquarters in the capital Colombo, the defence ministry said.
They said that the Indian medical units will leave the island tomorrow after helping thousands of people affected by floods in the island's southern and south-central districts.
At least 254 people were killed and nearly 200,000 families were displaced in last months unprecedented floods.
