New Delhi: The 11-day long Ganpati festival is celebrated across the nation with full fervour. It is one of the biggest festivals revered and celebrated especially in Maharashtra. Our Bollywood celebrities too have welcomed Bappa this year with gusto. Some do the Visarjan after one and a half days, while others keep it for 3, 5, 7 or full 11 days—doing the Visarjan on last day.
Like every year, Salman Khan's 'khandaan' welcomed their Bappa with pomp and dhol-nagada. The cute lord was at their abode for one and a half days, and last night the whole khandaan in the presence of friends and close relatives bid adieu to the lord.
The Visarjan took place where music was full-on and the guests were dancing to Bappa's glory. The dhol-nagada had everyone groove to lord Ganesha's tunes but only the superstar Khan was not to be seen anywhere.
Salman this year, unfortunately, had to miss the Ganpati festivity, although his family did make up for his absence.
