US to send more advisers to Afghanistan
The Pentagon is planning to expand the number of advisers working with anti-Taliban groups in Afghanistan, The New York Times reported in its Thursday edition.

According to a senior military official, U.S. advisers also will move with
Afghan rebels when they advance against the Taliban, The Times said.
A Pentagon official said the goal of the ground troops was to attach a team to each opposition group that was prepared to work with Washington against the Taliban, The Times reported. The teams would be mobile so they could advance deep into Afghanistan. Bureau Report
