Ahmedabad, July 05: Police today arrested three persons for allegedly indulging in betting during the on-going triangular series between England, South Africa and Zimbabwe. Acting on a specific information, Deputy Commissioner of Police (zone 1) Ajay Tomar and two other officials raided a flat in Kalasagar Apartments in the posh satellite area of the city and unearthed the racket. "We had specific information and when we raided the flat, its owner Rajni Patel told us that there is no one in the apartment. But when we opened the door of a room, we found two persons making and receiving calls on their mobiles and indulging in betting," Tomar said tonight. Police also seized six mobile phones from them, he added.
"We are checking the records of mobile phones and trying to find other linkages of these two persons," the DCP said. Bureau Report
