Bhopal, Aug 20: Madhya Pradesh Cabinet has approved completion of action within two months on the remaining recommendations of Jagatpati Committee that probed alleged land scams during Sunderlal Patwa-led BJP government in early 1990s. The Cabinet which met here yesterday, also endorsed the recommendations of a cabinet sub-committee on Jagatpati Enquiry Committee's suggestions, Revenue Minister Hazarilal Raghuvansh told reporters today. Raghuvanshi, who headed the Cabinet sub-committee, said action on most of the recommendations made by the probe panel had been completed by many departments. The Cabinet also approved a rehabilitation package for small sick industries, subsidiary industries and those not under consideration by Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (BIFR) industrial units.

A proposal to set up 20 pre-matric hostels for tribal girls and sanction required staff in them was also approved. Bureau Report
