Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Friday left for Dighouri in Seoni district of Madhya Pradesh, to offer prayers at the birth place of Shankaracharya of Dwarka Peeth Swami Swaroopanand.
Sonia, who earlier arrived in Nagpur by a special flight from Delhi, was received at the airport by the chief ministers of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, Vilasrao Deshmukh, Digvijay Singh and Ajit Jogi respectively along with Chhindwara Congress MP and AICC leader Kamalnath.
She later left for Seoni. Sonia would offer prayers at the world's first 55 kilogram crystal Shivlinga and participate in the Atirudra Mahayagna at the Ratneshwar Mahadeo temple.

She would seek blessings of the three Shankaracharya of Badrika ashram Swami Swaroopanand, Kanchi Kamkoti Shankaracharya Swami Jayendra Saraswati and Puri Shankaracharya Swami Nishchalanand after participating in the Dharma Sansad.
