Chandigarh, July 13: Projecting Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee as the undisputed leader of the country, BJP president M Venkaiah Naidu today made it clear that the leadership controversy in his party was a thing of the past. Addressing a workers' gathering after inaugurating the party office here, Naidu said, "There is no parallel, no comparison to Vajpayee. There is no one in the country who can challenge his leadership."
The BJP chief said that while his party had a great leader in Vajpayee, there was "no clear leadership" in other parties, including the Congress.

"Even the Congress cannot challenge the leadership of Vajpayee. He is not only the leader of the NDA but also of the country," he added.

The nation must accept a leader who is "capable, experienced and credible", he said adding that Vajpayee who has 50 years of experience as a parliamentarian was the only non-Congress prime minister to complete five years in office successfully.

Urging party workers to start preparing for the coming Lok Sabha polls, Naidu hinted that it could be held ahead of schedule.
"Our mission is to get 300 seats in the coming LS polls," he said.
Naidu said that several other parties have started reposing faith in the bjp due to it's "credibility, performance and leadership".
