Srinagar, June 20: The PDP-led government in Jammu and Kashmir has decided to order a probe into 156 appointments made during the previous National Conference rule allegedly in violation of recruitment rules.
An inquiry would be ordered into the appointments made
under the garb of compassionate grounds by the previous government in violation of recruitment rules, Finance Minister Muzaffar Hussain Baig told the state legislative council today.
He said these appointments could not, in anyway, be justified as made under compassionate grounds. However, Minister of State for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, A R Veeri informed the house that 156 appointments were made during relaxation of rules between 1996-2002.
