Jammu, Oct 09: Police have arrested six persons and seized Rs 1.10 lakh in fake currency from their possession meant for militant activities, official sources said here today.

Acting on intelligence information, police intercepted a Srinagar-bound Tata Sumo at Manda in the outskirts of Jammu city late last night, the sources said.
During the vehicle search, Rs 1.10 lakh in fake currency were recovered from under the seat covers and six persons, including two computer experts from border district of Kupwara, were arrested.
The fake currency in Rs 100 denomination was brought from Bihar and was meant to be used for militant activities in Kupawara after its delivery to the kingpin, a resident of Srinagar, the sources said.
During preliminary investigation, the kingpin of fake currency racket was identified and efforts were on to trace him. Bureau Report
