Five intruders killed near IB in akhnoor sector
Jammu, July 25: Border Security Force personnel killed five intruders when they sneaked into the Indian territory in Kanachak area of Akhnoor sector in Jammu division last night, a BSF spokesman said here today.

The troops challenged the intruders when they were moving
in a suspicious manner on this side of the international
border near Kanachak border outpost, he said, adding as they
started running, the troops opened fire killing all of them.
The intruders had infiltrated from across the IB and
appeared to be Bangladeshi nationals, the spokesman said.
The Pakistani troops simultaneously resorted to firing, he said and added the BSF personnel retaliated effectively to silence the Pakistani guns. Exchange of shelling and firing between the two sides was also reported from Degwar, Ajot, Bagialdara and Bhawani areas of Poonch district and Arnia sector in Jammu district in the last twenty four hours.
There was no loss of life or damage to property on the Indian side, the spokesman said.
