London, July 12: Wolves have confirmed the newly promoted Premiership club are close to signing Cameroonian international Modeste M'Bami.
The midfielder, 20, played for Cameroon in the Confederations Cup last month and joins Wolves from Sedan.
Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey told the club's website: "A fee has been agreed to as have personal terms.
"But the whole deal is subject to him passing a medical and obtaining a work permit."
Earlier on Friday veterans Paul Ince and Dennis Irwin both agreed to stay at Molineux for another 12 months. Their decision to remain with Wolves follows manager Dave Jones' capture of Portuguese midfielder Silas, Oleg Luzhny - subject to a work permit - and Nigerian defender Isaac Okoronkwo.

Meanwhile Wolves have released Marc Edworthy, who played 23 times for the club last season, after his one-year contract expired at the end of June.
