Mumbai, Aug 13: Fast Moving Consumer Goods major Colgate-Palmolive (India) (C-P) has launched its international range of aromatherapy personal care products in India, in an attempt to ‘revitilise’ its personal care business in India.
"With this launch, Palmolive now offers an entire range of body cleansing products of international quality, and being the first to introduce we except to gain an early mover advantage," C-P (India) executive vice-president Vikram Kaushik said on Tuesday.
The company has launched a range of products -- shower gels, liquid handwash, and bar soaps -- which it expects to provide a "new fillip for the Palmolive brand in India," he said.
Palmolive is the company's brand identity for personal care products, while Colgate is that of oral care products.
The company would be sourcing its shower gels from C-P Thailand, handwash from C-P Turkey and bar soaps from its subsidiary in Malaysia, he said, adding, C-P might consider making these products in India at a later stage.
