HYDERABAD JULY 27. The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP president, N. Chandrababu Naidu, today directed that a whip be issued to all party MPs to attend Monday`s session of the Lok Sabha when it will debate the irrigation projects being taken up by Karnataka. Mr. Naidu asked the TDPP leader, K. Yerran Naidu, to direct all 29 party MPs to attend the Lok Sabha sitting and that none was exempted. The House would also take up the party`s adjournment motion.
The TDP president issued the directive while addressing a broad-based meeting of the party. He had a meeting with the Telugu Desam MPs on issues to be raised when the Karnataka projects are discussed.
Referring to the Women`s Reservation Bill, he said the party had already clarified that it was in favour of 33 per cent reservation. This would be reiterated by the TDP during debate in Parliament.
Mr. Naidu told the meeting that the Government would henceforth direct farmers to concentrate on such crops which yielded them remunerative prices. He recalled that in the past, ryots had suffered losses by taking up crops of their choice.
This would now be changed, he said, adding that if this change had to be brought about and farmers educated party activists should be well versed with agricultural practices.

The TDP president warned those party activists who were allegedly resorting to groupism and violence in connection with the ongoing election of education committees.

He termed it "unfortunate`` and said such leaders would be thrown out of the party.

He accused Opposition parties of resorting to criticism of TDP policies after joining hands with extremists/terrorists, who were targeting the TDP and the BJP leaders. After attacking the Government for constituting DWCRA groups, the Congress, Mr. Naidu said, was now demanding release of revolving funds to groups.

Mr. Naidu hit out at the Congress president, Sonia Gandhi, for denying an opportunity to him to discuss the Karnataka irrigation projects.
