Bajrang Dal claims conducting `Trishul Deeksha` in Jhalawar
Jaipur, June 14: Bajrang Dal today claimed that it conducted `Trishul Deeksha` in Jhalawar five hours before Congress president Sonia Gandhi addressed a kisan rally in the town.
Jaipur, June 14: Bajrang Dal today claimed that it conducted "Trishul Deeksha" in Jhalawar five hours before Congress president Sonia Gandhi addressed a kisan rally in the town.
However, the claim has been denied by the police.
Convenor of Harauti region of Bajrang Dal Bharat Bhushan claimed that the trident distribution ceremony was conducted yesterday morning in the premises of Balaji temple in Khandia colony, barely 500 meters away from the place where Gandhi addressed a rally five hours later.
The ceremony was held in protest against the state government's ban on carrying and possession of tridents, the Bajrang Dal leader said.
Police, however, described the claim as "fake". In the past also false information and even photos of holding "Trishul Deeksha" have been fed to media by VHP and Bajrang Dal workers, police sources said.
Superintendent of Police in Jhalawar J N Meena has also denied the Bajrang Dal claim.
