In his acceptance speech at the Oscars, Leo had spoken about his views on the urgent need to save the environment. He said, “Making 'The Revenant' was about man's relationship to the natural world...climate change is real.”

“It is happening right now. It is the most urgent threat facing our entire species and we need to work collectively together and stop procrastinating.” He added.

Leonardo took to Twitter Wednesday to share a link to soul-stirring video ‘future generations will be wishing everyone watched today’. This is an extension of his efforts to raise awareness about the harm we are causing to the environment and the consequences our future generations will face because of our misdeeds.
