New Delhi, July 24: Master blaster Virender Sehwag, who is nursing a niggling back injury, wants to come back to India but leaves it upto his English county team Leicestershire to release him from his contract. ''Though the injury is not serious, Sehwag felt it will be better to heal in time for the forthcoming cricket season,'' Sehwag's manager Latika Khaneja told a private news channel here yesterday.
The cricketer was almost certain to return home due to the condition of his back and the exhaustion he was suffering from after a long season of cricket, she said adding that that it was the prerogative of Leicestershire to release him from his contract.
Ms Khaneja clarified that money wasn't an issue for the cricketer and that had chosen to go to England for the summer primarily for exposure to county cricket.
On advertisement commitments, she said those were ''in no way interfering with his county stint.''
