Anti-dumping duty on Dane salt from China, Singapore
New Delhi, June 29: The designated authority has recommended imposition of anti-dumping duty on all imports of D (-) para hydroxy phenyl glycine methyl potassium Dane salt used in pharmaceutical industry from China and Singapore.
New Delhi, June 29: The designated authority has recommended imposition of anti-dumping duty on all imports of D (-) para hydroxy phenyl glycine methyl potassium Dane salt used in pharmaceutical industry from China and Singapore.
The Directorate General of Anti-Dumping & Allied Duties (DGAD) recommended definitive duty which shall be equal to the difference between the 16.16 dollar per kg on all exporters of China and 13.51 dollar per kg on all exporters from Singapore, according to a notification dated June 24.
The landed value of imports for the purpose shall be assessable value as determined by the customs under the Customs Act, 1962 and all duties of customs except duties under the Sections 3, 3A, 8B, 9 and 9A of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975. Stating that subject goods had been exported into India from China and Singapore below its normal value, DGAD said domestic industry had faced material injury.
The domestic industry, on account of injury being suffered was also facing material retardation in the establishment of new industry to manufacture subject goods, the authority which confirmed its preliminary findings dated October 1, 2002 said. DGAD had initiated inquiry on a petition of Daurala Organics Ltd. Bureau Report
