Digvijay says he wants to match Sukhadia`s stint as CM
Bhopal, June 22: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh today said he would try to match former Rajasthan chief minister Mohanlal Sukhadia`s tenure of 17 years at the helm of a state.
Bhopal, June 22: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh today said he would try to match former Rajasthan chief minister Mohanlal Sukhadia's tenure of 17 years at the helm of a state.
"Former Rajasthan chief minister Mohanlal Sukhadia ruled his state for 17 years and I need to make an effort to match that," Singh said.
He said he, would, still be far from CPI(M) veteran Jyoti Basu's 23-year record as chief minister of West Bengal.
Singh became Madhya Pradesh chief minister for the first time in December 1993 and continues to hold the post without any interruption since then.
